Chester Brown announced the release of their new album Bus Stop Betty for digital release on 4/20/2020 at https://chesterbrown.bandcamp.com/ and hard copy available soon on their website at chesterbrown.org.

The album was recorded at Studio Chicago by Dan Stienman in 2013, then mixed at Skip Saylor Studios and mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering in 2019. The cover art was done by Ian Stetler.

Nate and the band send their well wishes to everyone and are still looking forward to seeing everyone at Brown Town this year.

From the bands page: “Chester Brown’s third studio album, and first album in 9 years! This album is a trippy, rocking album that was recorded in the summer of 2013 and finally available for your listening enjoyment.”

Chester Brown is:
Tim Vanderlin – Guitar and Vocals
Nate Vanderlin – Keyboard and Vocals
Dominic Puglisi – Bass and Vocals

Chester Brown with Rumpke Mountain Boys Jammin’ on Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar”

Another one hot off the press. I can’t wait for June to roll around again.

This one is a 9 minute jam of Pink Floyd’s “Have a Cigar” with a couple of the Rumpke Mountain Boys at Brown Town 10 last year. It even includes a dancing T-Rex.

Stealin’ the Farm’s “Take the Time” at Brown Town 10

Still hanging solo at the house (day 9 – ground control to Major Tom?) has given me a lot of time to work on my video and graphics editing skills on some old video I had. Big kudos to everyone keeping the music alive around the area.

Here’s Stealin’ the Farm’s “Take the Time” June 7th, 2019.

Special thanks to Don Thompson who created the original logo for NWI Jam.

Hang in there, we’re all going to make it through this!

Chester Brown – Sad Song at Brown Town 10

I just love the growl of a Hammond B3 on a warm summer night, course I may be a little partial.

Here’s Chester Brown’s “Sad Song” at Brown Town last year.

Chester Brown – Brown Town 10 Video – Stale Cigarettes

With observation of the social distancing it gave us a little time to dive into the vault of video we’ve accumulated over time and started playing around with the video editors.

While we’re all cooped up trying to not overload the hospitals since the virus is here, what a better video to find than Chester Brown performing Stale Cigarettes at Brown Town last year. Brown Town was where the idea of NWI Jam was born. Enjoy the video.

By the time June 12th rolls around I’m sure we’re all going to be ready for a weekend of Brown Town 2020 on the river at Rising Sun Campground. For more information check chesterbrown.org.
